“Memories”
I have always had a better memory than I would like. I often have people not believe stories about my life because of how much detail I can remember from even the smallest events, so I decided I wanted to record some of these vivid memories on tiny pieces of cut up cyanotype photographs. The cyanotypes were test strips from my exit show in art school. They were all deeply personal images that I did not want to destroy completely. I used tiny pieces of these images to revisit some memories that stand out to me when I look at the fractions of what the image used to be. Not all of the memories are happy or particularly exciting, but they all helped shape me into the person I have become and learned to love.
